Two Sense-T Projects are off to the National Iawards!

Sense-T won a prestigious iAward, in the Community Services category for the AirRater smartphone app, and a commendation in the Public Sector and Government category for its Tourist Tracking Project.

Sense-T will now go on to represent Tasmania in these two categories at the pinnacle event in the iAwards calendar, the National iAwards to be held on 1 September 2016.

Sense-T nominated for two Tasmanian AIAA iAwards

Sense-T is delighted to be nominated for two Tasmanian AIAA iAwards in the Community Services and Public Sector and Government categories. These nominations are for the Sense-T AirRater smartphone app and Tourist Tracking Project.

The AIIA iAwards are the premier awards program for innovation in the Australian digital economy. The awards recognise and reward the efforts of homegrown innovative problem solvers. Tasmanian winners will go on to represent our State at the national AIAA iAwards.

Sense-T is off to AGFEST

The Sense-T team are spending the week in gumboots and mud at Australia's Premier Rural Event, Agfest. Together with the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA) we will showcasing our cutting edge research and demonstrating two innovative smartphone apps – the Sense-T Pasture Predictor and the VitiApp.

World-leading tourism tracking research hits the road

One of the most innovative and extensive research projects ever conducted into tourist travel will soon begin tracking the first of 600 visitors to Tasmania as they move around the State during the current summer tourist season.

Message from the Director

We are excited to announce that we have undertaken the initial deployment of the Sense-T Data Platform.

We have already begun to collect data from various sources including the Sense-T Industry Research projects.  Development on the platform will continue through 2016 in collaboration with CSIRO.
